Susan Cowsill Set To Appear on Dean Martin Show

Susan Cowsill, at 10 yers old the youngest member of The Cowsill singing tribe, has been signed to guest by herself without being accompanied by her older brothers on the Dean Martin Show, which airs Thanksgiving Day, November 27.

Susan's appearance on the show is the first time a member of The Cowsills has guested on a national television show alone.

The pint-sized pixie will sing a song on her own and then duet with Dino in a special number, still to be selectd by the producers of the Dean Martin Show.

Cowsills Xmas Visit

The Cowsills have been set to guest on the Christmas Kraft Music Hall special, which airs on NBC-TV Christmas Eve, December 24.

Also appearing on the Christmas season special with the family of singing favorites will be singer Wayne Newton.

In addition to singing Yuletide songs, The Cowsills most probably will team for a televised broadcast of group's latest single release, "Silver Threads and Golden Needles."


New Single MGM Cowsill Hit Out

MGM Records released a new single recording September 14 from it's hit group, The Cowsills, who recently became the number one group in the nation with its rendition of the title song from "Hair." New recording is "Silver Threads and Golden Needles" and the theme from "Love, American Style," new television series which debuted on ABC September 22.

When Paramount Studios signed The Cowsills to record the theme song for its new show, it was the first time in television history that a top pop group had been set to sing the title tune for a TV series. After September 22, The Cowsills will be heard weekly on "Love, American Style," singing show's theme over title credits.

Here are The Cowsills at home in Santa Monica, California, where they work and play. When not rehearsing (or posing for a picture like this one) The Cowsills play tennis, swim in the family pool, and do all the things that they've found are California-style fun.

Columbus Filled

When The Cowsills played two concerts at the Ohio State Fair at Columbus in mid-August, promoters of the event had to add 6,000 seats to the capacity of 12,000 at the fairgrounds to accommodate the total crowd of 18,000 which attended.


LYRICS IN 16 MAG

Lyrics for MGM Records' The Cowsills' new single, "Silver Threads and Golden Needles" and theme from "Love, American Style." will be published in the December issue of 16 Magazine, which is available on newsstands throughout the country October 23.

Michigan State SRO

The Cowsills, who were originally set for one night only at the Michigan State Fair in Detroit on August 31, were held over for two additional days as a results of the record-breaking audience of 30,000, largest in the Fair's history, which attended group's first personal appearance


Together in the Sun Times

Chicago Cowsill Fan Club members were pleased to read Kathy Orloff's front page article on The Cowsills, "A Family That Plays and Stays Together" in the Sun-Times on Sunday, August 31.
