The top family in popular music today - the Cowsills - will be in Pueblo for a performance at Memorial Hall Oct. 6
The 8 p.m. performance will be sponsored by the Associated Students of Southern Colorado State College. Tickets are on sale in the Orman Avenue Campus Student Center and at Morton's Book and Records. SCSC students will receive a ticket discount with their identification cards.
The group's latest recording of "Hair" has been one of the top sellers on the charts for months.
The Cowsills, made up of five children and their parents, made the big time in 1967 with their first album "The Cowsills."
The group has been going strong since then and all members of the family, except the father, Bud, join in the vocalizing. Members come and go - one of the boys is currently in the service, but the rest carry on recording dates and public appearances with increasing response.
One son, Bill, no longer performs with the group and has become an independent record producer.
The family has turned out six albums on the MGM label and has made countless television appearnaces in the last two years.
