What is your full real name?
Robert Paul Cowsill
When and where were you born?
I was born on August 26, 1949. (Dick, my twin, is three minutes older than me), in Portsmouth, Va. - where my dad was stationed in the Navy.
What is your height, weight and coloring?
I am five feet and eleven inches tall, weight 155 pounds, and have black hair and brown eyes.
Family info:
I have five brothers and one sister in that order: Bill (20), Dick (18), Paul (16), Barry (13), John (12) and Susie (8). As you know, we have two homes - our 22-room Munsterish-mansion in Newport, R.I., and our apartments (we all can't fit in one) in New York City.
Do you have a car?
No, but I wish I did.
What kind of music do you like most?
I like all kinds of music and my favorite recording artists are the Beatles and the Association.
What are your hobbies?
Music and trying to find "spare time."
What sports do you like?
Football, basketball and baseball.
Can you cook?
Yes, just about everything - especially soup.
Would you like to get married?
Of course!
Briefly describe your dream girl.
My wife - but I haven't met her yet!
What three tips would you give a girl who wanted you to like her?
I can only think of one don't be pushy.
What type of girls do you usually dislike?
Girls who try and make a good impression on everyone when they're actually blowing their cool.
What would you do if you suddenly came into a million-dollar inheritance?
I would ask myself, "Why me?"
Of all the places you've been in America, which one would you like to go back to?
Miami, Florida. The weather is unbelievably clean - and so are the people.
Who has helped you most with your career?
My father.
Who are your closest friends in and out of show business?
In show business - my family. Out of show business - Dennis Sullivan and "A-4".
Of all the performers that you've worked with, who do you admire most?
There are many people I still have to meet, but so far it's the Four Seasons.
If you could take a vacation, where in the entire world would you go?
I love the sun, so I guess it would be Hawaii, Bermuda or the Virgin Islands.
Are you a day or night person?
Would you believe - both?
What do you like most about your work?
Meeting and understanding all different types of people.
What do you dislike about your work?
I miss the normal things in life - like dating and going out with the gang.
What kind of clothing do you like to wear when you're not performing?
I like regular clothes I can relax in.
What kind of clothes do you like to see girls wear?
I like mini-skirts and loose-fitting clothes.
What kind of perfume do you like on a girl?
Shalimar and Ambush.
What kind of men's cologne do you use?
Brute, Jade East or Old Spice.
Do you have a pet fear or superstition?
I don't particularly like elevators. They make my stomach go up to my head.
How would you describe your own personality?
I'm still growing up and have all the problems of an 18-year-old boy.
If you were stranded on a desert island, what three things would you wish for?
A tree house, peace and quiet.
When are you most happy?
When I get a little extra time to do whatever I want.
If you weren't in show business, what would you have done?
Continued school, just as I am doing, and eventually become a teacher. I still want to teach someday.
What one girl in the whole world would you like to meet?
My future wife.
Do you have a secret longing?
Yes - to get married and live in a country home up in the hills.
Have you ever dated a fan? Would you?
Not as yet, but I certainly would!
What do you like to do on a date?
That would depend on where I was and who I was with. But the main thing would be to have fun.
What are your favorite colors, flowers, foods?
My favorite colors are blue and brown. I like orchids, and I'll eat anything!
What advice would you give a young person who would like to make a career in show business?
To be sure that a show-business career is what they really want, cos it's a lot of hard work.
