The Happy Together Tour hit Sedalia, Missouri at the State Fair on Thursday, August 13, 2015. A picture perfect day and weather was on hand to keep us company. A few stories of the day:
1. The Cowsills played second in the line up of six groups. We could see Susan and Bob peeking over the edge of the stage during the opening Grass Roots.
2. The Cowsills played The Rain, The Park & Other Things, Indian Lake, Love American Style and Hair.
3. The crowd shouted to the C's during their segment and Bob did his usual expert job at handeling them.
3. Susan rode her bicycle around the stage while the Buckinghams played "Susan"
4. Susan was introduced by Jules of the Association as the youngest entertainer to ever earn a gold record and then joined them onstage for two songs to add much needed harmony.
5. Bob, then Susan, then Paul came to the wings and played air guitar and air drums enjoying the other acts along with us for the rest of the show.
6. Eddie announced the show was being filmed for later distribution.
7. The backing band was totally awesome on every artist (with the exception of a couple keyboard times).
8. A huge firework show was set off after the show was complete. (Also so an PA system ad for the Where The Action Is cruise including our Cowsills)
9. The C's came out to see us after the show and were their charming selves. My coworker fellow concert go-ers commented how nice and down to earth they are. I told them I felt like a proud Mom introducing them to the C's because they had heard me talk so much about them for over 25 years. LOL The C's didn't disappoint !!!
