Solid Gold Scrapbook December 6, 1990
Host: On Solid Gold Scrapbook, the family group The Cowsills had their first hit on the charts this week 23 years ago. Bob Cowsill tells us why they were unique.
Bob: In '67, you're talkin' the heavy dose of Motown on the airways and acid rock and all that '67 was. And "The Rain, The Park, and Other Things" came in. It was real airy and fresh, you know. And then they had this whole publicity thing of 'you're not doing to believe this but this is a family.'
Host: The Cowsills first hit was peaking on the charts this week in 1967
Song: The Rain, The Park and Other Things
