Love Theme From Hight Street  |  If You Gotta Go

A Most Peculiar Man
(Paul Simon)
Lead Singer: Bill

He was a most peculiar man,
That's what Mrs. Riordon says, and she should know.
She lived upstairs from him.
She said he was a most peculiar man.

He was a most peculiar man,
He lived all alone, within a house,
Within a room, within himself.
A most peculiar man.

He had no friends, he seldom spoke.
And no one in turn never spoke to him,
Cause he wasn't friendly, and he didn't care,
And he wasn't like them, oh no.
He was a most peculiar man.
(Most peculiar, most peculiar man)

He died last Saturday,
He shut his eyes, and he went to sleep,
with the windows closed,
So he'd never wake up,
to a silent world, in his tiny room.
And Mrs. Riordon says he has a brother somewhere,
Who should be notified soon.

And most people said,
What a shame that he's dead.
But wasn't he a most peculiar man
(most peculiar , most peculiar man)

He was a, wasn't he a most peculiar man.
(repeat and fade)

Could It Be, Let Me Know
(Artie Kornfeld, S. Duboff)
Lead Singer: Bill

Yes I can tell that there's something going on.
Yes I can tell that the little boy is gone.
Psychedelically speaking
Done something weird to my mind.

Could it be the first time that I found me?
Could it be your loving arms around me?
Yes I have been kissed before,
But never quite like this before.
If it's so, (if it's so),don't let go, (don't let go), let me know.

Yesterday maybe I would have run to hide.
But now I know that my place is by your side.
I thought I would keep searching,
But you were so easy to find.

Could it be the first time that I found me?
Could it be your loving arms around me?
I thought I knew life before,
But now I see there's so much more.
If it's so, (if it's so), don't' let go, (don't let go), let me know.

Closer, closer, closer, closer

Could it be the first time that I found me?
Could it be your loving arms around me?
I thought I knew life before,
But now I see there's so much more.
If it's so, don't let go, let me know.
Let me know.

Most Of All
(G. Geld, P. Udell)
Lead Singer: Bill

I'm gonna miss the schoolhouse on the hill,
The clang of bangin' lockers in the hall,
But of all the things I'll miss this summer, baby,
I'll miss you, I'll miss you, I'll miss you most of all.

I'll miss the hours talkin' on the phone.
The way I'd run right home to get your call.
But of all the things I'll miss this summer, baby,
I'll miss you, I'll miss you, I'll miss you most of all.

I'll think about a New Year's Eve...
With snowflakes in your hair.
I'll dream about a April prom...
Though summer everywhere.

I'll miss those crazy parties that we had.
The friendships that we cherished one and all.
But until I feel you kisses next September,
I'll miss you, I'll miss you, I'll miss you most of all.

I'll miss you, most of all.
I'll miss you.

Siamese Cat
(Regis Mull)
Lead Singer: Barry and John

I love my Siamese Cat.
Because she's not very fat.
She leaps through the air,
And lands in a chair.
I know I couldn't do that.
So I love my Siamese Cat.

I watch when she wiggles her tail.
That's the way she tells me she's my gal.
I wiggle my toes,
And wrinkle my nose.
That lets her know I'm her pal.
So the two of us get along swell.

Her ears they wiggle to.
Which isn't so easy to do.
I stand in a mirror,
To try wiggling an ear,
But it's something that I can't do.
And I bet you neither can you.

I play with my Siamese cat.
And pretend I'm a Siamese rat.
I think she can't see,
But still she finds me.
My private eye Siamese cat.
Who knew, be fooled by a rat.

On her funny face is a spot.
Where she has as a great big black lot.
Some bigger make first,
Fell over her perch.
She should be all white and she's not.
Poor kitty is all that I got.

So me and my Siamese cat.
Will never grow old or get fat.
We'll run and we'll run,
Stay young and have fun,
Because it's so fun to do that.
Just me and my Siamese Cat.

What's It Gonna Be Like
(Bob Cowsill, Bill Cowsill)
Lead Singer: Bill

What's It Gonna Be Like

After almost everywhere ,
Tried my hand at this and that.
I met a lot of people,
Talk about a sight.

It ain't gather me no no
Nor catch an eagles wing.
But I, got lots of memories,
And to you I will bring.

What's It Gonna Be Like
What's It Gonna Be Like

The places I've been,
And the things I've seen.
Were not always Greek, or right, or mean,
I don't want to sound so keen, or so, so bad, or serene.

But I know that my sight is right.
And what I've seen has steered me near to you.
So won't you follow me in spite of all your pride.

What's It Gonna Be Like
What's It Gonna Be Like

Don't you try to hide from me.
Stay by my side there is no need,
There really isn't time to breathe.

Come and see the things,
That I myself experienced.
Please my time is so repeat,
And I so very tense.

What's It Gonna Be Like
What's It Gonna Be Like
(repeat and fade)

Party Girl
(William Gilmore, Buddy Buie)
Lead Singer: Bill

Dance your last, Dance your last, (Party Girl)
Dance your last dance,

Dance your last dance,
Party Girl, Party Girl,
Have yourself a time Party Girl.
Because when this party's through I'm gonin' come to you.
Party Girl, Party Girl.

I realize there's fifty guys,
That you put on a string.
But I'm goin' change all that,
When I show you this diamond ring.
You'll forget that swinging band,
When you hear them choir boys sing.
You're going to trade your dancin' shoes,
For apron strings and things.

So little girl,
Dance your last dance,
Party Girl, Party Girl,
Have yourself a time Party Girl.
Because when this party's through I'm goin' marry you.
So just dance your last dance,
Party Girl.

Party Girl you laugh and say that love is just a game.
But like they say in story books,
Tigers can be tamed.
Won't you be surprised,
When you take a second look.
Instead of doing the Jerk,
You'll be learning how to cook.

So little girl,
Dance your last dance,
Party Girl, Party Girl,
Have yourself a time Party Girl.
Because when this party's through I'm could come to you.
So just dance your last dance,
Party Girl.
So just dance your last dance,
Party Girl.
So just dance your last dance,
Party Girl.

Hold On Tight
(Bob Cowsill, Bill Cowsill)
Lead Singer: Bill

Goin' take you on a joy ride, (take a ride yeah)
And it'll just be you and me.
Goin" to show you seven wonders, (hold on tight yeah)
From my two wheel limousine.
We can hit the road together,
Make to turn out right.

Hold on tight. (hold on tight)
Hold on tight. (hold on tight)

Goin' feel that open road baby,
Let that wind blow through your hair.
Keep that throttle open.
Make those white lines disappear.
Maybe we can catch the wind,
And find out where it's been.

You better hold on tight (hold on tight)
Hold on, hold on tight.

(Take a ride, yeah)
(Hold on tight, yeah)

Ah, ah, ah, ah
You better hold tight. (hold on tight)
Hold on, hold on tight.

We've been ridin' on this endless highway,
(take a ride yeah)
Searching for a sign.
Something to direct us, babe, (hold on tight yeah)
To tell us when it's time,
And I think that I can vaguely see it.
Coming into sight.

So just hold on tight. (hold on tight)
Hold on, hold on tight.

But until that day comes baby,
Let that wind blow through your hair.
Ah, keep that throttle open,
Make those white lines disappear.
Make wheels spinning, spinning,
Right on into night.

You just hold on tight. (hold on tight)
Hold on, hold on tight.

Hold on tight. (hold on tight)
Hold on tight. (hold on tight)
Hold on tight. (hold on tight)
Hold on tight.

I Know, Know, Know , I'll Never Love, Love
(Len Beadie, Mickey Clarke)
Lead Singer: Bill

I need the kind of lovin'.
That only you alone can give.
And without you here in my world,
There's no reason to live.

But I know, know, know,
I'll never love, love, love,
Anyone else but you,
For I know you're the only one I'll ever love, baby.

Lovin' you the way I do,
Has brought me heartache.
Oh now that you don't want me,
It's so hard to take.

Lovin' you the way I do,
Has really hurt me so.
Oh now there's somebody else,
And to him you must go.

But I know, know, know,
I'll never love, love, love,
Anyone else but you,
For I know you're the only one I'll ever love, baby.

Missing you the way I do,
I will be lonely.
Oh why can't you see,
I love you only.
Lovin' you the way I do,
I'll never be the same.
Until the day I get you,
Back in my arms again.

But I know, know, know,
I'll never love, love, love,
Anyone else but you,
For I know you're the only one I'll ever love, baby.

I know, know, know,
I'll never love, love, love,
Anyone else but you,
For I know you're the only one I'll ever love, baby.

Lovin' you the way I do.
Lovin' you the way I do.

If You Gotta Go (Go Now)
(James Butler)
Lead Singer: Lincoln Park Zoo

Look at me,
Baby tell me what you see.
Don't you see I'm just a man,
And I'm doing all I can.

My heart and mind,
Lying, baby, deep inside.
What do you expect of me?
Are you too blind to see?

I'm cryin' all my nights away,
Prayin' maybe that you'll stay,
Right here by my side.

But oh, if you gotta go, then go now.
If you gotta break my heart.
But if you stay and do things my way,
And love me to my dyin' day.
But oh, oh, oh,

I cryin' all my nights away,
Prayin' maybe that you'll stay
, Right here by my side.
But oh, oh,

If you gotta go, then go now.
If you gotta to break my heart.
But if you stay and do things my way,
And love me to my dyin' day.

Go now, think you better now.
(repeat and fade)
