(David Ray credited, but really Bill Cowsill)
Lead Singer: Barry

(Chorus)
We'll go two by two, Lord.
Open up the gate.
We know the rules, Lord .
Beg your pardon if we're late.
We love our brothers now.
What else is there to do?
But to head on down the long road,
Going two by two.

Takin' my good friend Joshua.
Takin' my mother and father too.
Cuz when I get to the end of my highway,
You know I want to be with you.

(Chorus)

I have cheated my lovers, Lord.
Sinned against many a man.
But I found out my satchel was empty, Lord.
Won't you fill it up again.

(Chorus)

But, I found out my satchel was empty, Lord.
Won't you fill it up, fill it up again.

(Chorus)

Head on down ---

(Chorus)

I Really Want To Know You
(Barry Mann, Cynthia Well)
Lead Singer: Barbara

I want to look behind the mirror of your eyes.
And see the secret world. The world your words disguise.
The birthplace of your sighs.
I want to know the pain of all your secret fears.
And when you speak of them, the ones that no one hears,
I want to taste your tears.
I really want to know you.
I really want to know you.

I want to share the dreams you've never shared before.
And stand inside your soul and unlock every door,
And darling even more.
I really want to know you.
I really want to know you - to know you.
To love you.

I want to share the dreams you've never shared before.
And stand inside your soul and unlock every door,
And darling even more - even more.

Start To Love
(Bill Cowsill, Bob Cowsill, Judi Pulver)
Lead Singer: Bob

When I walk by her window,
Does she know that I watch her?
Has she heard that I want her.
How do I start to love her?

Maybe if my friends knew her,
Someone could take me to her.
Tell her for me she's pretty.
How do I start to love?

When I see her, with all her friends in town,
Want to show her, that I'm alive and well when she's around.

How can I make her notice?
Know that her eyes are bluer?
How can I get close to her?
How do I start to love?

When I see her with all her friends in town,
Want to show her that I'm alive and well when she's around.

How can I make her notice?
Know that her eyes are bluer?
How can I get close to her?

Hard to begin to love.
It's so hard to begin to love.
Yes, it's hard to love.

Signs
(Bill Cowsill, Bob Cowsill, Paul Cowsill)
Lead Singer:Bob or Paul

( Need help with words in paraephesis !!!)

Hey you, traveler, I've been wondering,
Say can you tell me why people pass them by.
They don't read them, never heed them.
Hey listen to the signs you don't have to cry.

I keep 'a telling you and me,
Life is meant to be.
(One way to drive killing you you killing me)

Stop sign, red light, one way, keep right,
Still half a million died on the road last year.

Bear, deer crossing, pheasant walking,
No time to stop the car, we killed it. Drop a tear. Drop.

Why can't they see? Signs were meant to be,
(A wonderful way for them to you from me.)

Don't run, don't splash, don't move, or pass,
Too many careless people never take dare glance.
Don't rest, don't swear, lifeguard nowhere,
So jump into the water.
Why not take a chance?

Oh I wish they'd understand,
That a sign never take command
It's a warning in disguise.
(Keep from giving all you can.)

Hey there, traveler, I've still wondering,
Say can you tell me why people pass them by?
Just listen to the signs you don't have to cry.
Hey listen to the signs you don't have to die.

Hey there traveler,
Can you tell me why people pass them by?
They don't read them, never heed them.

Goodtime Charlie
(Harvey Price, Dan Walsh)
Lead Singer: Bob

Staring through the window,
Old man Charlie staring through the window.
He doesn't have a place to stay or a place to go.

He's thinking 'bout the ladies. Old man Charlies got his memories.
And the goodtime sweet like wine, just yesterday - just yesterday.

(Chorus)
Goodtime Charlie ain't had a good time in years.
Goodtime Charlie only tomorrow and tears.

But wait a minute, Charlie. You don't have far to go now.
Come the goodtime sweet like wine tomorrow - tomorrow.

(Chorus)

Charlie's look for (good time).

So wait a minute Charlie. You don't have far to go now.
Come the goodtime sweet like wine tomorrow - tomorrow.

(Chorus)

Anything Changes
(Bob Cowsill, Paul Cowsill)
Lead Singer: Paul

Poor old moon lost its lease.
Now it's just another piece of real estate.
Plane jumpers claimed their stake.

No longer history, end of a mystery.
It's made of rock and dust like you and me.

Landed in peace. For mankind, ease your mind,
Sorry indeed, so roll the tides, keep your pride.
Shine on me.

Man in the moon resigned.
Packed and left to work full time,
As Jupiter's lunar caretaker.

Leading a pleasant life,
Twelve moons and no moonlight, from Jupiter.

Landed in peace. For mankind, ease your mind.
Sorry indeed, so roll the tides, keep your pride.
Shine on me.

End of a fantasy. Lover's lie helplessly hoping for,
Another moonlit shore.

Moon walker what's your game?
Ride the heaven print your name on every star.
Don't go too far. For you may find,
A hostile outer space, if you try to spread the human race.

Silver Threads And Golden Needles
(Jack Rhodes, Dick Reynolds)
Lead Singer: John

> I don't want your lonely mansion,
With a tear in every room.
All I want's the love your promised
Beneath the silvery moon.

Well you think I could be happy
With your money and your name.
Just to hide my head in sorrow,
While you play your cheatin' game.

Silver threads and golden needles
Cannot mend this heart of mine.
And I dare not drown my sorrow,
In the warm glow of your wine.

You can't buy my love for money,
'Cuz I never was that kind.
Silver threads and golden needles
Cannot mend this heart of mine.

I don't want your lonely mansion,
With a tear in every room.
All I want's the love your promised
Beneath the silvery moon.

You can't buy my love for money,
'Cuz I never was that kind.
Silver threads and golden needles
Cannot mend this heart of mine.

Silver threads and golden needles
Cannot mend this heart of mine.

Night Shift
(Cowsill - Cowsill)
Lead Singer: Bob

Evan by the light,
She waits to hear my shoes.
And through the night,
She reads the Street Lamp News.
You know she gets no news from me.

And when the morning comes, end of my day,
Dragging my way home.

I can feel the cold.
It whips across my face.
I think of her, she brings me back to days.
We laughed in warmer places then.

But still the morning comes, end of my day.
Lighting my way homeward.

But when I see her smiling,
Cuz I know that she loves me still.
I say we'll stay together,
Cuz I hope that we always will.

Don't leave my side, she might.
I work at night and Evan works by day.
And though I see her not at all,
She's got to know she's mine.
That's all.

You know she gets no news from me.
And when the morning comes, end of my day,
Dragging my way homeward.

But when I see her smiling,
Cuz I know that she loves me still.
I say we'll stay together
Cuz I hope that we always will.
And though I'm tired I say I'd wish you'd stay and talk to me awhile.
I smile and she tries not to look so sad.
She's off for work. I must be mad.

Evan, if you knew the things I'd like to say.
I'm here with you, though really I'm far away.
We'll try to find another way.

Another evening comes, end of her day.
Dragging her way home.

The Prophecy Of Daniel And John The Divine
(Remo Capra - rumored to actually be Bill)
Lead Singer: Bob
Spoken words: Barry

And when they saw her rising, from the ocean,
A name was on her forehead Babylon, Babylon.

Six is the number, Six is the number of a man.
Six is the number, Six is the number of a man.

She was arrayed in purple and scarlet color,
And golden pearls, and in her hand,
She held a golden cup.

It's been written down to reveal,
Six is the mark of His seal.
It's been written to understand.
Six is the number of a man.

Six, Six, Six,

Six, Six, Six,

There's a revelation.

(spoken by Barry)
Then finally one day she was cast back into the sea from where she came.
So that she would never torment man again.

It's been written down in Revelation,
Daniel and John explanation:
When you read it you will find,
It's a sign of warning for mankind.

Six, Six, Six

Six, Six, Six

Don't Look Back
(Barry Cowsill)
Lead Singer: Barry

When you leave us far behind in the morning,
When you drive away from here,
Try to hold back all you tears.
And don't look back, baby, don't look back.

We will miss you when you go away from here.
We know you will miss us too.
Don't let all your sadness through,
And don't look back, baby, don't look back.

Reminisce about all the nice things we do, and what I meant to you.
And what life standed for then, and what it stands for now.

When you leave from here,
Return on the morrow.
Leaving all the things you cherish,
Please do something as you perish.
Don't look back, baby, don't look back. Back.

Father
(Bob Cowsill, Paul Cowsill)
Lead Singer: Bob

Traveled for many years,
He traveled across the seas.
Great ships taking him far, far away.

Left her, so many times he left her.
The children waved good-bye.
Mom would always cried inside.
She cried, she had pride.

Upon returning home one day,
Bought a guitar for his sons to play.
Within a year we strummed and we sang.
Everyone smiled as the harmonies rang.
All through the house all the melodies sang.

Years passed, we found a home,
And at last a house across the lake,
Swing on a vine in the woods.

Ocean, but how we missed the ocean.
He said, "Pack up, we'll go back to the island our home."
He took us home.
He took us all home.

Once back home the music had grown.
Citizens waited in line to be shown.
The family group was good, all agreed.
But nobody helped out the man and his dream.
Everyone laughed at the man and his dream.

He walked for miles up and down New York streets,
Selling the songs on the tape and his sheet.
Strange looks from record company heads.
"Later on you'll regret it", he said.
And later on they remembered he said.

Father, we'd like to thank you.
Father, and so we thank you.
Father, we'd like to say we love you.
