The back of this reads: New York, N.Y: Central Park in New York City has something new; a fury of wild sounds echoing across its' acres of budding trees and flowering hills. The reason for this is a new program instituted by Parks Commissioner Thomas P. F. Hoving and appropriately enough the program is called "Soundblass 66".
But to some 5,000 writhing, shaking and twitching teen-age girls, enjoying the first of 10 go-go dances to be held in the City parks this spring and summer, it was an occasion of sheer delight.
While 16-year-old Nancy Zion of Brooklyn is busy doing her go-go balloon dance, (see other pix) other swingers give it their go-go in Central Park.
