The most exciting, star-studded production to shine over the Big E in years, lights up the coliseum on Saturday, Sept 13, at 7:30 p.m. The big show is the Governors' Command Performance featuring such luminaries as Anita Bryant, comedian Billy Kelly, the rocking Cowsills and young Louis Roberts, all in one great program. Of course, there are the traditional 4-H presentations and Star Farmer award, as well as the additional entertainment value of the Ferko String Band.

THE COWSILLS
While Billy Kelly specializes in humor for the whole family, the Cowsills can provide the family. The Cowsills are a unique clan of music makers hailing from Newport, R.I. with four brothers leading the singing chores and their mother and baby sister on the harmony. Two more brothers work behind the scenes, while Mr. Cowsill manages the entire organization. What is even more amazing is that the Cowsills play pop music, aiming at the younger generation while still maintaining appeal for the older set.
The Cowsills perform twice in the Storrowton Theatre tent, 2 and 4 p.m. on Saturday. Add on the Governors' Night chore, and you have a busy day for any family.
Bud and Barbara, Mr. and Mrs. Cowsill, are the parents; Bob, Barry, Paul and John are the brothers that do most of the singing. Little Susan Cowsill completes the group. The Cowsills' latest hit is the theme song from the smash musical "Hair". Every family should take after the Cowsills. After all, the family that plays together stays together.
