This is a rare one that I think most of us have never seen. (Thanks Lynne and Jo!) It's the "Queen shot" which was distributed by one fan club. (Bill would have been about 26, Bob 25, Barry 20 and John 18). The one of Queen on the right was from an album cover from 1974 (approximately March). The Cowsills shot was also from 1974. Which came first? I'm not sure. Any info, email me.
UPDATE!!! UPDATE!!! The C's biggest fan, and fan club president, Marsha Jordan has come through for us. Marsha found her letter from Peter Apo (Cowsill's manager at the time) dated July 1972 when he sent her the B&W photo of the 4 guys' faces. She had just seen the 4 of them in Natchitoches, LA, in the coliseum on the campus of Northwestern State College on June 28, 1972. That photo was also used in the college newspaper that publicized the show she attended, so the picture was taken sometime in 1972. So, Queen was second !!! Another first for The Cowsills!
