Neighbors Say Festival Won't Occur

GREENSBORO - A group of Browns Summit residents said yesterday that Lindsey Troxler's farm is not equiped to handle a rock music festival and that the bands he has suggest will play there will not.

The statement was issued by Albert D. Troxler, representative for the group, who said the report was the result of a "continuing investigation."

After describing the state of Lindsey Troxler's preparations of his property for the festival and of efforts to confirm reports that certain bands would play, Albert D. Troxler said:

As of noon yesterday, "here are the conditions that exist at the site of the Troxler farm; no electricity, no water for human consumption, no toilet facilities, no facilities for food preparation."

The statement also said that inquiries were made to booking agencies for the bands which were said to be scheduled. None were booked for Browns Summit, including the Cowsills, Country Joe MacDonald, The Who, Grand Funk Railroad, Joe Cocker or Led Zepplin, the statemeent said.
