WILLIAMSBURG, Iowa - String bikinis, suntan lotion, a man-made beach and surfing music replaced bib overalls and tractors Sunday as the World's biggest Beach Party rocked on in a sand-filled cornfield 1,200 miles from the ocean.
Temperatures were near 90 on Sunday, but organizers estimated a two-day crowd of more than 20,000 peoploe had attended.
Music came from such '60s stars as Jan and Dean, Tommy Roe, Johnny Tillotson, Gary Lewis and the Ventures.
