The Cowsill Rebellion Bud Cowsill, former Navy career man and "baby sitter and governor" of The Cowsills, a hit recording group, is the one who doesn't sing - and what's more, he's an old-fashioned disciplinarian father. Did any of the kids every rebel? "Every day. I don't think we'd be here if they didn't a little." Any ever threaten to leave? "Only me. I threaten," he says. But all seven have thrived, with no generation gap because firmness is tempered with "square words like love, understanding , communication." Dick, 18, and now in the Army, backs up his father, "Why else am I here taping with them when I'm on leave?"
