Miss Nanci Roberts, Daughter of Dr. and Mrs. Chester L. Roberts of Glendale, Calif., became the bride of Robert Cowsill, son of Mr. and Mrs. William J. Cowsill of Santa Monica, Calif., today in the Glendale Presbyterian Church. The Rev. Robert Witaker officiated.
Miss Marilyn Roberts was maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Miss Merry Hull, Mrs. Margaret Russell Mooy, Miss Kathey Roberts, Miss Jill Scatchard and Miss Kaye Wernie. Miss Susan Cowsill was the junior bridesmaid and Linda Takata was the flower girl.
Paul Cowsill was best man. Ushers were Matt Allan, Barry Cowsill, Richard Cowsill, John Cowsill, Dean Roberts and Ken Roberts. Christopher Hayes was ring bearer.
Given in marriage by her father, the bride wore a gown of white eyelet embroidered organza with a sheer yoke, bodice and deep cuffs edged with Venice lace which was combined with pink pulled through satin ribbon. The pink ribbon underlined the bodice and bands of the wide, full sleeves. A band of matching lace flowers held her bouffant veil and she carried a nosegay of carnations, stephanotis, daisies and white orchids interspersed with pearl sprays and babies breath.
The maid of honor wore a full-length pink chiffon gown with full transparent sleeves accented by a white lace bodice. She carried a nosegay of carnations and chrysanthemums scattered with small pink roses and babies breath.
The bridesmaids wore similarly styled gowns of pink chiffon and white lace and carried nosegays of pink and white carnations and daisies on a lace backing. The flower girl wore a white organza dress with hoop skirt and long full sleeves.
Following a reception in the garden of the home of the bride's parents, the couple left for a month's honeymoon in the Bahamas. They will live in Santa Monica.
The bride is a graduate of Hollywood Professional School, attended Hollywood College and appears regularly on the "Playboy After Dark" TV show. The bride groom is a graduate of Middletown High School, attended Hollywood College, and is a member of the Cowsill singing group.
