Mercury: Blue Magoos, Deniums
Mercury Records and its affiliated labels have corraled a flock of new talent recently. Among the recent pactees are The Blue Magoos, a Greenwich Village, N.Y. group; and The Denims, another N.Y. combo headed by Steve Curry.

Philips Records, a Mercury subsid, will also record The Cowsills, winners of a recent talent contest conducted by Gene Kay, Allentown, Pa. disk jockey. This group consists of four brothrs, ranging from nine to 16. Others acquired are Betty & he Barons, The Rip Chords, Ronnie Self and Charles Wood.

Mercury also will record the winners of a talent contest staged recently in Atlanta in conjunction with the Coca Cola Co. The winning combos were The Fourmore, The Five Men of Note and The Lords of Atlanta.
