Dwight Twilley's longtime friend, Susan Cowsill, backed the local power pop maestro on such hit tunes as "Girls."

She was also the youngest of seven children in a musical family that became the hitmaking act the Cowsills, which is known as the group that inspired the Partridge Family.

In late August, Cowsill came to Tulsa to play a two-night stand with Twilley at The Venue. The show was recorded for a live DVD and CD. Those two gigs came shortly before Hurricane Katrina unleased her devastation.

Sadly, like so many others, Cowsill and her family were affected by that hurricane, losing almost everything.
