A revamped Blue Northern will make its debut Friday on the CFOX harbor cruise with a new lineup that includes: Prism’s former lead guitarist, Lindsay Mitchell: Billy Cowsill’s younger brother Barry Cowsill on bass; Paul Burton on drums; Jim Wilson on synthesizer, organ and rhythm guitar; and Gary Comeau on violin. The band members have been in the studio for the last four months working on new harder-edged material for an upcoming album. And they’ve added a new stage backdrop and costumes to match their change in image . . . former Blue Northerner Ray O’Toole, meanwhile, has formed his own group: Fast Forward.
