Blue Northern (Quintessence). On blue vinyl, naturally, comes an EP from the popular country-rock band.
The four originals here are upbeat Byrds-style songs, featuring clean vocal harmonies and find instrumental work. The EP is produced by new band member Billy Cowsill, and although it was recorded on eight tracks, in “new living mono,” there’s a real depth and clarity to the sound – all the better to hear the music with.
