Note: This is our Cowsill's grandparents) Eighty-year-old James Anthony Cowsill is listed in critical condition and his wife, Virginia, 63, in fair to poor condition at Winter Haven Hospital after an accident Wednesday east of Bartow off State Road 60. A Highway Patrol spokesman said Cowsill’s car crossed the path of an oncoming car driven by Harold James Huss, 55, Seminole, as Cowsill made a left turn to approach Peace River Village Mobile Home Park. The Huss’ daughter, Anita, 22, was treated and released with a broken leg. A trooper on the scene said charges are pending against Cowsill. A dog seated in the Cowsill car escaped apparently unhurt.
