His (J. Phillip Rich) partner in the gallery workshop, Bill Kinsey, came to Vermont via Manhattan, Colorado and California after looking all over the country for a place to live close to nature. Both he and his wife, Elisa, are musicians and craftsmen. They live with their small children on a farm in Hyde Park, while tending to goats, horses, ponies and an organic garden. Kinsey has played with the Cowsills on the West Coast and with equally well-known bands in the East. In Vermont, he, Lar Duggan and Mike Yates formed a jazz trio that has been heard at nightspots in Waitsfield and Stowe. All three are composers and like to improvise some 40 variations from one theme.
