English Prof Goes 'Nashville'

The songwriting started in a canyon outside Lorenzo, Tex., and is being brought to a head in the form of a five year contract with a Nashville recording company.

Pollock says most of his music is either country or pop. However, there are "those that defy classification." He does not write rock songs but likes the music of such groups as the Beatles are the Cowsills. In support of this statement, he said that in earlier days he had evne played piano for a group called the Sparkles. He stated, "The music today is like it's been at anytime. There is the good and the bad."
