Music to a couch potato's ears

Three years ago, some Record staffers were putting together a skit for our office Christmas party and needed the theme song from the “Addams Family” TV show. A co-worker said, “Bill probably has it at home.”

The compilation stopped short of the mid-Seventies and Eighties, and that’s where Rhino Records has stepped in, with a recently released three-volume set called “Tube Tunes.”

. . .

“Volume One (The Seventies)” features the Cowsills trilling “Love American Style,” the Addrisis Brothers performing “Nanny” (from the short –lived “Nanny and the Professor”), and Carroll O’Connor and Jean Stapleton performing an extended “Those Were the Days” (from “All in the Family”).
