Singer Susan Cowsill retired her "Covered in Vinyl" series - in which she and her band "covered" a classic album in its entirety in February after re-creating more than 40 albums in six years at Carrollton Station. She and her husband/drummer, Russ Broussard, said at the time they would revive the series only for special occasions. This Saturday's "Covered in Vinyl" certainly qualifies a special. The Susan Cowsill Band will perform two albums, Crosby, Stills, Nash and Young's "Déjà Vu" and Creedence Clearwater Revival's "Creedence Gold." A total of 19 musicians will participated, including members of The Cowsills family band, Cowsill's former Continental Drifters bandmate and current Bangle Vicki Peterson, Syd Straw, Washboard Chaz, Jesse Moore and Johnny Sansone.
