Remember the Cowsills? No? Ah, how fleeting is fame. They were a family singing group of the late 1960s, a mother and six clena-cut kids more or less in the Partridge Family mold and they had a few hit records. Anyway, the Cowsills have filed for bankruptcy in Providence, R.I., detailing debts of $445,339.01 and assets of $4,873. Papa William J. Cowsill says the bills mounted while he was the group's business manager. The family has lost its Newport home and 200 acres of land. Cowsill said he wasn't sure where any of his kids are these days.
