The Cowsills are a happy sounding group. New on the popular music scene, they now have an album, titled simply, "The Cowsills." And from that album they have released a single - "The Rain, The Park and Other Things."
"The Rain . . . and Things" is a light, catchy tune that sounds a little like "Beautiful in the Rain," a Tony Hatch instrumental that was fairly popular during the summer. The lyrics are pleasant and the music is very listenable, free from any psychedelic overtones that seem to be creeping into a lot of music these days.
On the album The Cowsills show that they can handle a variety of tempos and moods. But they are at their best when they keep it light and happy.
Look for The Cowsills to stick around a while.
