Families who perform together as single musical units are becoming commonplace across the country
The Partridge Family, a family on television only, has taken the lead in turning out hit records in records in recent years with the Cowsills, a real family, close behind. Also popular are the Jackson Five, a family unit of five brothers; the Osmonds, a family unit of seven brothers; and the smaller Bee Gees, who consist of three brothers.

Concerts throughout Texas have become so numerous that the Threadgill Family can now pick and choose the dates they wish to play, scheduling each performance around the children’s schooling activities. They are getting expert help in polishing up their act from Bud Cowsill, who met the Texas group while the Cowsills were engaged for a week at the White marlin Restaurant in Aransas Pass.
