The actress had a high school life somewhat different from the life she depicts in the fictitious public school in the series. “I went to Hollywood Professional School and my foremost desire then was to get work as an actress. I had my first TV job on “The Danny Kaye Show” when I wasd13, then when I was 14 I had roles on “My Three Sons” and “The Courtship of Eddie’s Father.” I just wanted to work more and go to school less.”
Other professional children attending high school with O’Toole were the singing Cowsill children, Jay Norris of “Dennis the Menace” and Jon Provost of “Lassie.”
