While we're in a country bag, I've got to rave about this current obsession by Jeffrey Hatcher and Billy Cowsill's band, The Blue Shadows. Hatcher headed one of my favorite rock bands of the '80s (Winnipeg's Big Beat) and Cowsill's '60's pop band was the inspiration for television's Partridge Family. Together, they harmonize like the Everly Brothers, and harmonizing doesn't get better than that. I'm not kidding, their vocals will give you chills. They can write too. If you love country music and the roots of rockabilly, check this debut recording out. Highly recommended.
