Tickets go on sale today for the 7:30 p.m. March 29 Lovin’ Spoonful and Cowsills concert at Prairie Knights Pavilion.

In the 1960s, The Lovin’ Spoonful released “Do You Believe In Magic,” which helped give birth to the new sound known as folk-rock.

The Cowsills are the real-life inspiration behind the hit television series, “The Partridge Family.” They were one of the biggest pop acts of the late 1960s. The band’s million-selling single, “The Rain, the Park & Other things,” was featured in the movie “Dumb and Dumber.”

The groups origins started with brothers Bill and Bob Cowsill, who soon recruited younger brothers Barry and John. By 1967, The Cowsills’ lineup was up to seven, with the additional of brother Paul, sister Susan and mother Barbara.

Tickets are available at Dan’s Supermarkets in Bismarck, Mandan and Dickinson.
