. . .

We recently caught up with Paul Cowsill, one of the members of the family band The Cowsills, of which inspired the TV show The Partridge Family. The band is an integral part of the Happy Together Tour, and his exuberance is key to how the night kicks off and the memories come flooding back with comfort, ease, nostalgia, and hope. "I don't think there's another generation that still has this feeling and energy, comes out to shows and feels the impact still going on within the music." he says.

The oldest Cowsill continued, saying, "Back in the day, you would hear The Who, or a band like that, on your transistor radio and that the same radio station would play the Cowsills next, and then that same station would play Marvin Gaye after us. You didn't have a bunch of different outlets playing just what they felt like they wanted to play; it was eclectic back then. There was so much going on, so much was different, but great music got played all together on the radio - all the way from the folk guys like Peter, Paul and Mary to [Bob] Dylan. Life just transitioned from there to this electric thing with the Beatles and all that, but the songs getting played were all written then, and it was all about the times at hand. The music on the radio was what was happening in our world. That was what we all wrote about, you know? Everybody was writing about everything and we all got to hear it. We were very lucky. We're very fortunate to have had the freedom to hear whatever it is we wanted to hear back then."
