The latest parent-basher is Richard Cowsill, nonsinging member of the '60s group the Cowsills. "My father was a child abuser, physically and sexually," he says of Bud Cowsill, who died in a plane crash several weeks ago. "My sister had to leave the house at 12 years old because she resisted his advances and he battered her." The former Cowsills roadie, now a Long Island real-estate broker, added: "My father used his kids. We were a stage production."
