Susan Cowsill may as well find herself a place to rent in 78704. Her recent recordings (Just Believe It, Lighthouse) document her transformation from kid singer in The Partridge Family blueprint the Cowsills to a generational voice of experience, all from her home in New Orleans. In the folk-rock tradition so venerated here, her willingness to carry on that tradition and the memory of her family at each show demonstrate a distinctly Austin musical savvy. - Margaret Moser
