Summerfest '70 boast 43 "top-drawer" acts including the bearded and bulky All Hirt trumpeting in the opening on July 11 in Milwaukee.
The citywide festival is a mid-American adaptation of the Munich "Octoberfest" and will fun from July 17-26.
Among other featured entertainers scheduled to appear will be Doc Severinsen of the Johnny Carson show, bobby Sherman, Ramsay Lewis Trio, the Cannonball Aderly Quintet, the Brothers and Sister, the Cowsills, Newport Jazz Festival All Stars and the Cleveland Symphony Orchestra.
