Susan Cowsill has been a professional musician for more than four decades. She started at the age of 8 as a member of the family band the Cowsills. The group had several Top 10 hits. When the Cowsills broke up, Susan decided to continue her musical career. She was a key member of the critically acclaimed Continental Drifters, and toured and recorded with Dwight Twilley, Nanci Griffith, the Smithereens and Carlene Carter. Cowsill's first recording as a leader, "Just Believe It" (2005), showcases her passionate, committed singing and lyrical songwriting style. (TP)
