Record Crowd Jams Exposition Grounds
Sunshine, hustle, and good humor abounded Saturday as more than 107,899 people filled the Exposition grounds in West Springfield. Saturday was governor's day, and featured the Cowsills and lumberjacks among it's many attractions. The Big E will run thrugh Sept. 21.

Singer Anita Bryant, the Cowsills, the 8th Air Force Band, the Mummers and the Ferko String Band from Philadelphia, and comedian Billy Kelly entertained the governors before a sellout crowd.
