Singers Make Waves, But The Crowd Loves

Surfer music singers Jan and Dean encourage the crowd at the main stage Saturday to clap and sing along.


There weren’t any waves, sandy beaches or bikinis, but that didn’t stop Salem from going surfin' Saturday thanks to the performance of Jan and Dean. Salem police estimated that 4,000 people packed around the intersection of Liberty and Chemeketa streets for an hour long afternoon concert.
