The Cowsills have been signed to sing the title song, "The Impossible Years," for MGM's screen adaption of the hit Broadway comedy, which is now before the cameras in Hollywood.

The Cowsills recently led all the major record charts with "The Rain, the Park and Other Things" the title of both their hit single and their album. They will also record the new song exclusively for MGM Records. Written by Mitch Margo, Phil Margo, Hank Medriss and Jay Snell, the tune will be featured throughout the Lawrence Weingarten production, in addition to being sung over the title credits.

"The Impossible Years" stars David Niven, Lola Albright, Chad Everett, Ozzie Nelson and newcomer, Christina Farrare in her motion picture debut. Michael Gordon is directing in color from a screenplay by Academy Award winner George Wells, based on the play by Bob Fisher and Arthur Mars.
