The Cowsills, one of the nation’s most popular singing groups, will make their first Phoenix appearance, Saturday at the Coliseum.

Consisting of Mini-Mama Barbara Cowsill and six of her youngsters, the Cowsills make their Phoenix debut close on the heels of their smash record hit, “Hair.” “Hair” ranked as the nation’s top tune on record charts for several weeks this spring. It also was the largest selling record in Phoenix a month ago.

“Hair was the third Cowsills record to climb to the top of the national hit ladder in two years. Others were “The Rain, The Park” and “Indian Lake.”

Tickets for the 8 p.m. performance will be available at the Coliseum box office until showtime. Tickets are priced at $1, $2 and $.

Al McCoy, popular KRUX disc jockey, will emcee the program.
