SPENCER, Iowa – Twenty-two thousand spectators – many of them youngsters attracted by the special Children’s Day activities and the “Stars for Teen-Agers” afternoon and evening grandstand shows – swarmed through the gates at the Clay County Fair Monday, bringing the total attending for the first three days to 99,000.
