Q. Whatever happened to the pop group The Cowsills? - Debra Green, Clayton, Ala.
The Newport, R.I., family act that grooved in the late 1960s with the hit singles "Indian Lake" and "Hair," continues making music. However, death has claimed three of the seven members. Mom Barbara Cowsill died in 1985 and brothers Barry and Bill died in 2005 and 2006 respectively. Siblings Paul, Susan, John and Bob recently began touring as a family again. (John also drums with the Beach Boys) Bob, 60, informs that the group, the real-life inspiration for the 1970s TV series The Partridge Family, has a film documentary and a book in the works.
