THE COWSILLS - An adventure in family music is part of the automobile show at the Convention Center starting Tuesday. The family group named The Cowsills will perform nightly during the extravaganza called the "greatest show on wheels." They will perform three times Thuesday through Friday and four times Saturday and Sunday

One of the country's most popular singing groups, the Cowsills, will headline entertainment at the automobile show.

Hours for the show are from 5 to 10 p.m. Tuesday through Friday, noon to 11 p.m. Saturday and noon to 9 p.m. Sunday. The Cowsills will perform three times nightly Tuesday through Friday and four times on Saturday and Sunday.

The entire Cowsill family - mother, father, and seven youngsters - takes part in a vocal entertainment act which first gained national fame through appearances on the Ed Sullivan Show. Not all the members appear on stage, however. Father Bud is the group's business manager and sound technician, and brother Dick is road manager and lighting technician. Mother Barbara and the baby of the family, Susan, are the only females in this big family. The other five boys are Bill, Bob, Paul, Barry, and John.

The Cowsills are a multi-talented family whose act evolved spontaneously through the years. Father Bud traveled the world during his 20 years in the Navy and with each trip home brought the kids a different musical instrument just for fun.
