Cowsill sings the anthem

Susan Cowsill , once part of The Cowsills, a Newport family singing group which served as the inspiration for the Partridge Family, sang the national anthem before the game.

The Cowsills briefly re-formed to sing the anthem before one of the ALCS games in October of 2004. Since then, two members of the family -- Barry and Bill -- have died. Barry drowned in New Orleans during Hurricane Katrina, while Bill passed away in Calgary after a battle with emphysema.
