Music has been emanating from Memphis on the Mississippi River for as long as the city has been there. The musical roots include W.C. Handy, B.B. King, Elvis Presley and Isaac Hayes. Two years ago the music stopped playing when a major record company there folded. Into the breach stepped energetic Rick Taylor and today Memphis is on the road back to bein a major national music center.
