The Cowsills are coming! Those fabulous musical brothers from Newport, Rhode Island will give a two hour concert in Gilbert D. Bristol auditorium May 17th, Wednesday, at 7:30 P.M. Modern music makers extraordinary, the Cowsills are appearing once again in Old Rochester Regional High School at the invitation of the school’s Key Club and the Kiwanis Club of Marion and Mattapoisett. All proceeds will go to the Key club and Kiwanis Scholarship Funds. Anybody who saw the Cowsills last spring remembers their tremendous sounds and the antics of brothers Barry and John. Barry 13 and John 11 never stop moving ---Barry around the stage and John on his drums. But there’s Bill and Boo, too. Bill is the leader of the Cowsills on stage and the oldest brother of the Cowsills off stage at 19. Everybody likes Bob. He is funny-dumb at times, and full of surprises from one minute to the next. He likes to tease Bill. Put them all on stage together and you have the Cowsills, one of the U.S.’s fastest rising young musical teams, one currently under contract to Philips Records and sporting a top-40 hit, “A Most Peculiar Man”. The Cowsills put on a great musical show, one that the whole family can enjoy. So make a date to join the Cowsills at Old Rochester Regional High School May 17 at 7:30 P.M. Those students who met the Cowsills last spring won’t need any second invitation. By the way, the Cowsills are saluting Old Rochester’s Seniors that night.
