I attended the Beach Boys concert at the Port Theatre last Thursday and agree with your reporter that it was an awesome event.
One of the highlights for me, was the drummer, John Cowsill and his renditions of Darlin and Wild Honey as lead soloist and drummer.
He was the younger member of the family band, The Cowsills, which had a few hit records in the '60s. He has been with the Beach Boys since 2000 and now, at age 56 or so, has not slowed down. In my opinion, he singlularly elevated the calibre of this Beach Boys concert.
Bring the Beach Boys back soon, Port Theatre! There are still so many fans who missed the concert because they were unaware that they were playing so close to our home in Nanaimo.
