What is it: A working musician in New Orleans, Jumpin' Johnny Sansone and his band - with special guest Susan Cowsill - perform tonight outdoors at Kennedy Plaza in Atlantic City as part of the summer-long Tony Mart's Presents Mardi Gras on the Boardwalk series.
What to expect: Sansone has an energetic, gritty, take-no-prisoners style with his blues-harmonica playing, and he also is accomplished on the accordian, which gives his pieces a zydeco flavor. He also incorporates elements of roots rock into his music. Cowsill is the youngest member of the Rhode Island singing group.
