The engagement of Miss Mary Jo Ferr to Mr. Robert Cowsill has been announced by her mother, Mrs. Ferdinand Ferr, 135 St. Andrews Dr. She is also the daugahter of the late Mr. Ferr. He is the son of Mr. and Mrs. William J. Cowsill of Newport, Rhode Island.
Miss Ferr graduated from St. Agness High School and received her nursing degree at Monroe Community College. She received a BS in Health Science at California State University at Northridge and is now employed at Valley Presbyterian Hospital in Van Nuys, Cal as a registered nurse.
Her fiance is a graduate of Middletown High School, Middletown, R.I. He received a BS in biology at California State University at Northridge. He is presently a musician, singer and composer in the rock group The Cowsills.
The couple plan to be married Jan. 7, 1978 in Van Nuys, Cal.
