Perhaps I'm mellowing or even reverting to youth, but a new reverting to youth, but a new group called the Cowsills sounds for all the world like musicians in a first recording for MGM (E 4498) called simply "The Cowsills."
They sing recognizable words, their tunes are melodic, their rhythms are civilized and their backgrounds are selective as well as loud.
"Dreams of Linda," "River Blue," "The Rain, The Park and Other Things," "Troubled Roses" and "Pennies" are a few of their estimable concoctions.
