Meanwhile, out in Hayward, Skip Bixby has booked Bill Haley and the Comets for a Saturday and Sunday night appearance at his Frenchy’s nightery. It was Haley who launched the rock and roll craze and there are many still around to remember it. Most of them will probably find their way to Frenchy’s this weekend. Bixby also has a variety of acts booked for upcoming appearances at his well-known South County club. Included are: Gary Lewis and Bill Cowsill, Professor Irwin Corey, The Righteous Brothers followed by Bill Medley. . . .
