The Cowsills, pop-rock group which emerged from family sing-along to national acclaim appears Thursday night at West Texas State University
Performance time is 8 p.m. in the Activities Center ballroom. The program is sponsored by the WTSU Student Activities Council.
The group, which has appeared throughout the country and on national television, has several hit records, including “The Rain, the Park and Other Things,” “We Can Fly,” “Hair” and “The Prophecy of Daniel and John the Divine.”
The group include mother, Barbara and children, Bob, 22, Paul, 19, Barry, 17, John, 15, and Susan, 12. Father Bud Cowsill manages the troupe.
Recently the Cowsills moved from their 22-room mansion in Newport, R.I., to a sprawling Spanish-style house in Santa Monica, Calif., where they are now home-based.
Tickets for their WTSU appearance are priced at $3 for adults, $2 for non-WTSU students. Tickets for WTSU students are priced at $1.50 in advance, $2 at the door. Tickets will be on sale at Cooper & Melin in Amarillo and the WTSU Activities Center box office. They will also be sold at the door.
